Workshop: Having fun generating Synthetic Data for test
May 1, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-4
New regulations and increasing awareness of the importance of protecting data has caused companies to lock down data systems. Not having high-quality data leads to a variety of issues including making it more difficult to find bugs. In this workshop, we will look at a variety of ways to populate your dev/staging environments with high-quality synthetic data that is similar to your production data.
We will accomplish this as a group by looking at a variety of data sets and going through each in an organized fashion while discussing the pros and cons of various techniques.
This workshop will be fun but also technical. By technical, we don’t mean you need to be a math whiz, but we will challenge your data insights and encourage you to push the analytical envelope.
Presenter
Adam Kamor (adam@tonic.ai). Since completing his PhD in Physics at Georgia Tech, Adam has committed himself to furthering the work of others through the programs he develops. He is currently head of engineering at Tonic (https://tonic.ai), the platform for generating synthetic data.
