Workshop: Getting Started in Test Automation
January 29, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-5
The discipline of software QA is increasingly becoming more technical, often requiring testers to use (and know how to use) test automation. For experienced QAs who haven’t worked with test automation before, or new QAs who are trying to break into the field, this can sometimes pose a difficult challenge: where do you start, if you lack opportunities for training or experience? What resources exist out there that one can use to learn about automation technologies and practices?
This workshop will focus on how you can get started in test automation on your own, using publicly available tools and information. We’ll provide an overview of what the most popular open-source technologies are for different types of test automation, how you can use those tools, and how you can go about practicing your automation skills on your own.
So make sure to bring your computers as well as your questions around test automation.
