Jeremy has been building high reliability systems for over 22 years and has been leading Agile teams and transformations since 2003. Jeremy recently helped Honeywell launch their global Agile initiative as Chief Agile Coach in Atlanta and continues to consult while incubating a stealth mode early-stage start-up based on blockchain and AI.

Jeremy’s Presentation: The Missing Link Between Governance and Agile Culture

In many organizations adopting agile, there is an unhealthy distrust between those responsible for governance and the teams that are adopting an agile approach. This is rooted both in legitimate fears as well as a lack of understanding on both sides of how to honor each other’s’ needs without compromising on outcomes. In this session, we’ll outline the relationship of governance to the agile concepts of explicit policies, and we’ll explore how governance and explicit policies are the missing link in building cultural change. We’ll explore the terminology between the governance community and the agile community, and in the process, we’ll uncover some hidden areas of agreement that could potentially unlock significant hidden value in your organization.
